working perl gimp scaling scripts

PERL- GIMP Developers,

I am trying to rescale an jpeg image using perl-gimp.

I am working in interactive mode.

I looked in the web (google) and found some samples but none
of them work.

I have managed to load the JPEG file.

Then I tried to use the image-scale and/or image resize functions.

My script just tends to hang. Does anybody have any working scripts.

I am rumming gimp on a Redhat 8 linux server.

Any help or pointers will be apreciated.
