Blending two different color texts

Hey,

What is the easiest way to do this kind of color blending of two text layers in gimp? I'm trying to do some Swiss style posters.

Thanks. :)

Create each letter on its own layer, and then move the layers and reduce their opacity.

Create each letter on its own layer, and then move the layers and reduce
