Globally Add Plugin Folder Location

Hello,

If I add a folder to C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins how can I the location to Edit -> Preferences -> Folders -> Plugins? I see there is a global gimprc file that has a pluginrc property, but there is no real documentation on how it works.

Kind Regards,

Gabriel

By adding a new location in Edit -> Preferences -> Folders -> Plugins.

I'm serious. This is where you do it.

You don't have to keep 3rd party plug-ins in that folder though, unless you have multiple users on that computer.

Sorry I should have explained why I need this. I work at a college so we have hundreds of users and use a combination of roaming and local accounts, but mostly roaming.

Beginning with v2.10, GIMP is reading the default plug-ins folder recursively.

2.10 release candidate 1 is already out, the second release candidate is coming later this week, if nothing goes terribly wrong.
