GSoC 2007: GIMP didn't make it

Google does now have a list online showing all accepted projects for the “Google Summer of Code” (GSoC). Unfortunately GIMP didn’t make it this year, so there are no sponsored projects for this summer.
In GSoC students can do programming for Open Source projects and earn 4500$ after successful completion. A complete list of all projects can be found here:

The deadline has been extended until March 24th, so if you’re interested just sign up and try to get accepted.
