Thanks to all of you who provided good and helpful advice - I understand more than before about image manipulation, although I still have lots more to learn! :)

[Simple (and stupid?) question:

I have two 'picture halves' (JPEG), that I would like to 'combine' in one single .jpg-file - is this 'doable' at all, using the GIMP?

If so: How??] ........................
