Gimp sizing issue

Hi

I have an image which I have set to 40cm wide by 30cm high. I´ve added a grid which is 4cm x 4cm.

However when I display the image on my screen at 100% the grid is around 7.25cm square and the image is much bigger than 40 x 30 (i can´t measure accurately as it´s too big for my screen but I presume it´s proportionate to the oversized grid dimensions).

Can anyone please help me to resolve this?

Thanks

Check that GIMP knows your monitor resolution: Edit >>Preferences>>Interface>>Display

You may have to enter it manually.

Thanks paynekj I did that but it hasn´t changed anything.

I´m displaying gridlines which should be 4cm x 4cm, the size is 100% but the gridlines actually measure 7cm x 7cm on my screen.

Gimp sizing issue

Gimp user has information about providing help and support to Gimp sizing issue. Need to check this https://www.assignmentholic.co.uk/ and manage their education. It includes a gimp user list that works for mailing to get the latest filters. You can also get the center of the alarming filter which is good in use.
