Opening Photoshop generated tiffs with layers

Hello all,

Is it possible to open a layered photoshop generated tiff file in GIMP so that the layers are useable?

I have been trying but only end up with one layer comprising of all the others flattened onto the one image.

Many thanks for any inputs.

When you open a psd-file in GIMP then you can use all layers HTH
