CH 5: Luminosity

Look at Figure 5.2 with the black and white image. The caption reads as follows:

"An image in Grayscale mode, with the channel corresponding to Luminosity."

Please verify that "Luminosity" is the correct word. The word is presented without further context, and immediately follows a discussion of the alpha channel. My opinion is that it is the correct word, but if so, I should work the word into the previous section, which reads as follows:

"In a grayscale image, each point is represented by a brightness value, ranging from 0 (black) to 255 (white), with intermediate values representing different levels of gray."

It will be easy for me to use the word "luminosity" in this context.
