GIMP-2.4 help

How will we manage writing help for GIMP-2.4 ? I had a trial writing the help of Rectangular Selection for Gimp-2.3.14, for 'en' and 'fr', keeping old stuff for other languages. It is not easy because of many changes and consumes much time. I would prefer writing help from scratch only for 'en' and 'fr'. Then other contributors would have to copy-paste unchanged text from GIMP-2.2 and translate new textes.
What is your opinion about that?

Everyone writes something for all the comunity and not for only the mother tongue's is worth a big thank...

I don't think it makes sense to attempt to document 2.4 before the UI is frozen. The rectangular selection tool in particular is far from finished. If you document the current state now, your text will be wrong when 2.4 is released.

Having Sven said this, this is also documented on the WIKI:

So, don't document anything of the development releases until an UI freeze.

But I think we must start understanding new functions now. Writing a draft is a good way to understand.
There will be much work for the new help. If we don't start thinking about it now, I am afraid that there will be a long time before we get a valuable Help. Unless there will be many doc writers :-)...

Not beeing up to date after the UI freeze is a case I'm willing to sacrifice. Spending to much work we need to throw away afterwards would be much more demotivating than rewriting a frew chapters more.
