How to get GIMP 2.10 (Linux)
Product: | GIMP |
---|---|
Version: | 2.10 |
Platform: | Linux |
If your Linux distribution does not come with the latest GIMP version, GIMP 2.10 can be installed using Flatpak (which manages dependencies independently of your current system flavor and version):
1. Install Flatpak
2. Download GIMP Flatpak file and launch it, or use the console:
flatpak install https://flathub.org/repo/appstream/org.gimp.GIMP.flatpakref
3. Start with:
flatpak run org.gimp.GIMP
The GIMP version installed over Flatpak runs regardless of whether you have installed GIMP over your distribution and in which version.
To update GIMP/Flatpak, just use:
flatpak update
