Sketch effect

I'm trying to do the Sketch Effect (http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Sketch_Effect/) and I'm guessing that this hasn't been updated in a while, cause I can't find the Desaturate option in my version of Gimp (2.2.13). Anybody have any suggestions?

Layers->Colors->Desaturate ?
