Hi,

I'm, looking to get gimp's help working without having to download 25 MB. After a long time surfing (and displaying strings from binaries) I found an environment variable "GIMP2_HELP_URI". But this seems to be only setable to a file-path. Anything like "http://..." doesn't seem to provoke an actual http request (I tried to check with etherreal). This seems to be supported by looking at
http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/gimp/plug-ins/help/gimp-help-lookup.c?rev=1.5&only_with_tag=GIMP_2_2_11&view=markup .

So my question is: Has anybody ever managed to access gimp's help over web (like at http://docs.gimp.org/en)? My tries with downloading and modifying http://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-help.xml were also to no avail so far.
