Color model for png.

From the depths of my ignorance:
Is the color model for png:
1. RGB
2. CMYK
3. Neither
4. Either

I am thinking about creating things in Gimp then importing them to Scribus which can handle CMYK, use CMS profiles and so on.

I know for sure PNG can use RGB (and RGBA), not sure if it supports CMYK or not.

The PNG file format specification is linked from http://developer.gimp.org/standards.html.
