Bordered Pics

The Gimp 2.2.13
Fedora Core 6

I have a large batch of images that I need to place a one color border around each image, utilizing the 4 outer pixels around the image. Is there an automated way to do this in The Gimp? If so, can it also be done as a batch process rather than doing each image individually?

These pics will not be used in html pages so html border color tags are not an option.

Thanks,
Trapper

Imagemagick

convert -bordercolor $COLOR -border 4x4 $filename $newfilename
