Postcards with gimp

Long Long time ago, tourists used to send postcards to their loved ones containing a nice image from the place. Now I have a good digital image I want to make a email postcard sorta thing to send. Any tutorials and tips for that?

GIMP Batch Mode: nothing happens!

The 'gimp-image-convert-indexed' command does not take the run mode as an argument. Try deleting the RUN-NONINTERACTIVE from the call.

I would also recommend that you perform a 'gimp-image-flatten' before converting to INDEXED mode; this will help to eliminate aliasing artifacts.
