Mouse Trackpad/issue using 2.8 on Mac

I am using version 2.8 on my MacBook Air. Periodically my trackpad will begin to act like I am holding down to select and will open anything I roll over. This is triggered while working in Gimp and I do not a computer issue. It resolves when I close out of Gimp. Has anyone experienced this?
