Odd problem on AIX when display help

I've uploaded a snapshot of the opening help screen for gimp-2.2.3 built on AIX 5.1 with the IBM C compiler and against gnome-2.8.2: ftp://support.thewrittenword.com/outgoing/gimp/help-on-aix51.jpeg

I don't see a similar problem on Solaris, HP-UX, IRIX, Tru64 UNIX, or RHEL.

Any idea on where I should look?

That's much because you don't use the UTF-8 encoding.

Hi,

The encoding of the user environment should have no influence at all to the display of the help documents in the help browser.

Either there's a general problem with encoding conversion on this particular machine / system or the font is simply broken.

I got it. I see there is no way to change encoding in help browser. Maybe it is better to try web browser instead.
