slow crop-resize tool !

slow crop-resize tool !

Hi there,

I noticed since gimp 1.3 crop and resize tools is very slow. When I resize region to be cropped guides lags behind cursor and I notice CPU load is high. It's very difficult accurately select region. I have gtk 2.2 installed on my Linux slackware box, currently running gimp 2.0pre3. What could be a reason ?

I cannot reproduce any such slowness here.
