Hi,

I've noticed a problem with the new (development version) of GIMP when using KDE. The different Gimp Dock Dialogs (like Layers, Brushes) aren't resizable or movable. Is this a KWin problem, or there is something with GIMP/GTK+ ? It's really annoying and I think many people will get angry when they see that the new version of GIMP will be not usable under KDE.

At least I do not see this problem with 1.3.12 and a recent KDE HEAD. I'm currently compiling 1.3.13 to verify.

I see this with 1.3.13 and KDE HEAD (ok, I've updated some days ago). In order to compile GIMP, I've downloaded the latest libraries (gtk+-2.2.1, atk-1.2.0, pango-1.2.1).

I don't with the same gimp, gtk+, atk and pango versions but KDE 3.1 from branch some time before KDE 3.1.1 was released. But repaint of gtk seems to be painfully slow now :-(

This made start the KDE 3.1 which I have, and try with that: it works, I can move and resize the windows. So it look like a newly introduced bug in KDE HEAD. Lubos, do you have any idea?

Ok, my 1.3.13 build has finished and now i experience the same problem as you, Andras.
Using fvwm i can move and resize the dialogs. Using KDE HEAD i cannot. This was no problem with my previous 1.3.12, thus it still can either be a bug in 1.3.13 or in KWin.
Considering that this seems to happen with different versions of KDE and with different gtk versions (i use 2.0) i'd guess it's a bug in Gimp. But i'm not used to gtk devel, and i'm no Gimp developer.

CCing the Gimp developers, maybe they can give us a hint what changed between 1.3.12 and 13 related to this problem?
