GIMP_HELP_2_8_2 is ambiguous

GIMP_HELP_2_8_2 is ambiguous

A minute later the three files showed up in https://git.gnome.org/browse/gimp-help-2/log/. All seems OK.

As it does not seem to be a serious error, I am just curious why this occurs. Perhaps it can be fixed in some way?

There's both a tag and a branch called GIMP_HELP_2_8_2, see https://git.gnome.org/browse/gimp-help-2/refs/

The tag has been made on that same branch, so I'm reluctant to try to fix this.

It is the tag for the 2.8.2 release of the docs.

If we delete the tag, then providing the corresponding source for any GIMP-Manual 2.8.2 package out there could become difficult.

Tags are commonly used for this purpose.

So why not delete the branch and re-push it as new branch with the proper name gimp-help-2-8-2 ?

Thanks to Mikachu this has been resolved:

- the branch is renamed to gimp-help-2-8-2 - the tag GIMP_HELP_2_8_2 still points to the relese
