This is the official download for GIMP 2.8.6 for Mac OSX Mountain Lion
The GIMP team provides an official DMG installer. Just open the downloaded DMG and drag “GIMP.app” into your “Applications” folder.
Note: GIMP’s user data has been moved from “~/Library” to “~/Library/Application Support”.
