capture screen shot from google books

I would like to capture a screen shot from google books, but the "dragging" neccesary to define a region to capture is already used by the iceweasel (browser) window to mean move in image.

How can I set up alternative bindings to "drag" so the screenshot gimp dialog will capture the image i want.

I realize that i can capture the whole window screenshot and cut it down later. that is a true but not as nice...
