Crop & resize

I can not work out how to crop & resize with a constrained aspect ratio. In Photoshop, using the crop tool, I put in the width & height dimensions in pixels, make the crop selection and crop. The resulting crop has the right dimensions to stick straight on my web page. How can I do this in GIMP???

Start the crop and control the size and positions with the window that appears. By moving the corners where two lines cross, you can change the placement without changing the size.

Ahh but you can not do a Crop and a resize at the same time!! In photoshop its been possible to crop, resize, and rotate all at the same time. (since version 4.0)

Gimp is lacking here. It will do cropping, resizing, and rotation but the workflow is very time consuming.

Is there a gimp feature wishlist anywhere??

Have you tried using Gimp 1.3.8? The crop tool in that version might have more functionality than 1.2.3.
