Hi,
In the following pages
https://www.gimp.org/source/howtos/gimp-git-build.html

The git URL git://git.gnome.org/gimp is broken, and git can't clone the repo, when used.

Ah, thank you for catching this. That article is quite old and should really point to the wiki maybe, which I believe has more up-to-date information.

I’ll make the changes. Would you possibly be able to add an issue for this so I don’t forget? ;)

Ugh, I am a little late to this apparently (just noticed the date it was sent).
