Tool tips don't work ver 2.8

I am using version 2.8 and the tool tips can't be read. They are all white. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried deleting the hidden file ~.gimp-2.8/ to no avail. Any ideas?

Presumably as you refer to ~/.gimp-2.8 you're on a Linux system of some sort ?

Exactly which version of GIMP - 2.8.????

Which GIMP theme are you using Edit>>Preferences>>Theme?

Have you tried changing your operating system theme?

Kevin

I suppose you are using KDE?

If so, go to "System Settings" - "Color" - "Options" and uncheck "Apply colors to non-Qt applications", that should fix it.

This is the first time I visit here. I found so much entertaining stuff in your blog, especially its discussion. From the tons of comments on your articles, I guess I am not the only one having all the leisure here! Keep up the excellent work. Your harvesting ideas are so good and I like that you are doing it is a great way. Many people love to get new ideas that will be workable for them for their maximum output. I'm so glad I found your blog, I actually discovered this by accident, when I'd been browsing Google for something else entirely, Just the same I'm here now and would certainly wish to express gratitude for an excellent blog posting and an overall intriguing blog (I furthermore love the theme/design). https://american-writers.org/ Thanks for sharing these tips here.
