Inserting Image Inside Three Squares HELP PLEASE!!

Hi,

I am a novice when it comes to GIMP. I have learned the basics and watched videos on tracing/creating an outline. I am trying to create the silhouette/trace/outline (whatever you call it) of the face and eyes only of this image here: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/a9/a0/ee/a9a0ee220951ada1234b11634abefdd8.jpg

I would like to insert the outline of the face and eyes and insert it inside the three squares like the one shown here: https://i.imgur.com/b3qS4oI.png

(excluding the awkward right square and last outer square). The shapes in GIMP don't look like the ones I provided in my example above. I plan to change the colors to dark green and keep the same red shown in the square image above.

I hae watched countless videos from Gurugal on youtube who has some amazing helpful tips but I am still stumped on creating this outline within three squares using a black background. It sounds so easy but for some reason I can't achieve the desired idea/look.

HELP PLEASE!!!
