DRAWING LINES
hi, Just cannot draw the lines. I am going into the pencil tool, left clicking to start, pressing shift key & going to the end point of the line & lefty clicking again.... but the line is not generated... Whats happening ? I am also not seeing the stroke selection option ...

A common fault is if there is an active selection somewhere, even a single pixel. Make sure Select -> None
However, you are working on the small text layer (11.5") The dotted line shows the boundary of the layer. You cannot paint outside that boundary.
Looks like you intend some dimension lines. Add a new layer and draw on that.
Brush and brush size look a little dubious. There are plug-ins for adding arrows, some simple, some complicated.

Not seeing the stroke selection option? Do you have anything selected.
