My OS is Win10-64Bit. My existing GIMP installation is 2.8.22, but haven't used it much. I just (last night) downloaded (but didn't install it yet) 2.10.20.

Question; Will 2.10.20 install as a completely separate program, allowing both 2.8.22 and 2.10.20 to live peacefully together on the same hard drive, on the same computer, without getting in each others way, as long as I don't try to use both at the same time?...Izzy

Short answer is no

The Gimp 2.10 installer uninstalls Gimp 2.8 first

It is possible to run both as permanent installations in parallel but not that easy to implement.

A common way for Windows users is keep one as a permanent installation and run the other using a 'portable version'
