Hurling noise onto transparent layer?

I installed 2.10 onto my computer and found that I can no longer hurl noise onto a transparent layer. This has always been an important part of what I do. Anyone know a way to do this with 2.10?

Maybe a choice:

Apply on a white layer, then Color-to-Alpha.

or

Grab a Gimp 2.8 noise-randomize (.exe for Windows) file and pop it in your Gimp 2.10 user profile plug-ins folder.
