How to stretch part of an object

I have an image of a building. I would like to stretch the building to make it taller without distorting the top of it. How can this be done in GIMP? I've attached the image. I know this would probably be easier in something like sketchup but hoping there's a way to accomplish it in Gimp. Thanks

shift p will give you corners you can drag in any direction to alter perspective and size and shape.

Probably i'd select most of it, feather the selection slightly, float it, move it upwards, then use a combination of patches and clone tool with a large brush (or inpainting with the synthesizer plugin) to fill in the gap. Pay attention to lightness and to shadows, and watch for the tree in the front. Depends on teh exact effect you want.
