filling in forms

I wonder if anyone has a plugin for gimp that will allow the user to fill in forms in what ever format. I'm looking to set the font and size globally and then to start clicking on a region and start typing. Hopefully one should be able to go back and correct your previous answers as well as save everything.

Gimp can open all the file formats but lacks a quick 'type it in' tool.

xfig can do this but its a bit long in the tooth.

Anthony.

the only way i can imagine this working in gimp is with a script.

there would have to be an individual script for each form. that way, gimp would know the font size and position and even the size limitations for the text area.

an image is not the best way to handle a form, imo. i realize that forms come this way, however.

I don't mind setting the font and size globally for each form. In fact I thInk this would be best. Just a simple click and type over would be good as long as you could edit and move the results afterwards.

sadly so and thats what I'm faced with most days.
