GIMP Printing Problems

Hi all,

I'm trying to print a JPG image I've touched up from the GIMP and all I seem to get is control characters. I have an Epson 660 printer using the CUPS Foomatic + gimp-print and CUPS+GIMP-print v4.2.0 drivers on Mandrake 8.2 (just in case anyone cares ;-) ), but neither driver is helping.

I've also tried printing from other apps like Image Viewer and Electric Eyes and they print fine, but they don't give me the image sizing features that I need to fit the image to specific print sizes. Can anyone help? TIA!

Try saving the file in a printable format (e.g. Postscript) and then printing it using a suitable program like Ghostview. That always works for me.

Thanks for the advice. I tried it (along with some different printer drivers) but it didn't work. I'll keep looking. Thanks again!
