HATE thread

You can stop this crap, the save and export stuff is going to stay as specified here:

http://gui.gimp.org/index.php/Save_%2B_export_specification

Period. This is the final word in this discussion.

Besides, do you guys really think that "HATE" is a good subject for achieving anything?

Do you think ignoring basic usability issues and maybe half of your user base is a good way of achieving anything?

[private reply]

How did you measure that 50%?

Do you include people not yet using gimp?

Attacking back is also not productive...

Best,

Liam

HATE thread - and it's farewell from me

I've subscribed to this list for a while and have found it extremely informative. Unfortunately threads like this are taken the fun out of it.

I'm taking a break for a while in the hope that things will settle down once 2.8 has been "in the wild" for a month or three.

That does not mean that I'll stop using GIMP - far from it. And whilst I do not like the new Export philosophy, I'm pragmatic enough to now that I'll just have to get used to it because no amount of bitching in this forum, or any other, it is going to change a thing.

Adieu.

Do you think overreacting helps people understanding each other? :)

my feeling also. Not leaving the list, but i´ve been deleting mail just by looking at the subject.

'Mute thread'? Or whatever the equivalent is on whatever email client you use.
