I use Gimp for all of my graphics design needs. I usually draw my designs using pen/pencil paper then scan it and get to work using GIMP and my WACOM Intuos4 XL tablet. I also use inkscape in combination with GIMP. Since I made the switch from Windows to Ubuntu I have not touch Photoshop nor iLLustrator(going on 5 years now).

Web Design, Photo Manipulation & Composing two hard choices, but I'd haft to go with Photo Manipulation at the moment. Although for others I think Digital Painting should be added on, as Griatch who is a very well known painter for the Gimp (Mainly on GimpTalk, and here's his most popular tutorial on painting characters - http://www.gimptalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12898) only uses gimp for digital painting, and/or enhances his paintings after using MyPaint.
