Cheryl, check under image -> mode
and see it it's set to grayscale. If so, set it to RGB mode.

Does anyone have the problem that some fonts previews show up as Chinese letters? They didn't in 2.6.7

I'm wondering if it's a bug or just something wrong on my side.

It isn't in the main repos for ubuntu koala yet.

Personally, I'm very much looking forward to a release of 2.8.

Is there a ballpark figure for it's release date ?
