GIMP Forums available
Based on the last poll results, we decided to develop a forum software that is able to communicate with the official and unofficial GIMP mailing lists and that is completely usable as a Web forum.
You don’t need to use a mail client or complicated Web interfaces like Gmane anymore but can read and post messages directly in our forums. All you need is a gimpusers.com user account.
Features:
- Incoming mailing list messages are parsed into the forums
- Messages that are posted in the forums are sent to the mailing lists
- Create new threads and reply to existing threads in the Web
- Advanced thread detection
- RSS feed that shows latest posts (click the RSS icon in the address bar anywhere on gimpusers.com)
- Post at the mailing lists with a freely selectable user name (privacy feature)
- Track the developer mail exchange in the Web (read-only forums)
- More than 10,000 threads and 47,000 messages already posted
- Use the gimpusers.com site search the search the forums
