GEGL .mo files

Hi all,

I cann't remember (nor find) where the .mo files for GEGL are.

Please, could you tell me the path to them.

1) are you really sure you search for .mo files instead of the .po files? 2) given that you really search for the .mo files for which platform (Mac/Windows/Linux) are you searching these files? 3) why are you searching for the GEGL .mo files?

GEGL .mo files

I translated gegl in a po file.

I validated this po file with msgfmt and got a messages.mo file.

I want to apply this .mo file to gimp-2.9.7 (many filters are gegl dependent).

There is no gegl .mo file in usr/share/locale/fr/LCMESSAGES.

Where is this messages.mo (renamed) to be placed ?

I use Ubuntu.

I use the gimp-2.9.7 ppa of Ubuntu, and there is no /usr/local/share/locale directory and no gegl-0.3.mo in my system.

I did not succeed in installing gimp from source. On which system did you install gimp from source?

I compile from source and it installs in

/usr/local/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/gegl-0.3.mo
