Product vision - Make more publicly visible?

Hi,

We've seen many instances where a developer/plug-in goes astray, doing something non-gimpish in GIMP.
We've surely seen many users trying to things that Gimp is not designed to do.

Perhaps this focus in thought and development could be enforced a little if the product vision were made more publicly visible? Add it to http://www.gimp.org/develop/? and http://developer.gimp.org/?

I have no problem with plug-ins that aren't "gimpish".
