blue screen removal

Hi.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to be asking about this, but I'll have to ask to find out.

I would like to know how to remove the blue from pictures. Blue screen removal, the kind used for movie making. I'm not sure if there are any other tools I can use apart from the 'fuzzy selection', and whether there is a special plug-in which does all the work for you, if you happen to have a lot of frames.

If anyone knows how to handle blue screens, please let me know, any advice will be useful.

Thanks in advance.

Nasim-

I don;t know exactly what is needed but I would start by looking at the select-> by color tool and the filter->colors-> color to alpha filter. I am guessing both of these could be scripted in gimp-perl to automate the process for multiple frames.
