Definately! I would enjoy the possibility to use my OpenID on different websites!

Some time ago I installed Photoshop CS2 but hardly used it. Recently I found
myself taking more and more raw photos with my Sony DSC-R1(.sr2)to get 16 bit
colour. Unfortunately Photoshop CS2 seems to corrupt files throughout my
Windows XP SP2 and XP locks up. Delete these corrupt files and I get back the
XP I know and love!
Sony's Image Data Converter SR gives me 16 bit .tiff files. Can The GIMP
handle these?
Are there any limitations?

currently gimp 2.6 is not able to load or manipulate 16bit color images. the
first pieces or code for it have however already been written as far as i
know. maybe gimp 2.8 will have this feature - its release is scheduled for
late autumn / winter this year.

A pity. I will have to do some research into Photoshop CS2; maybe try to
isolate it from the rest of my applications. In the meantime I will continue
with my 8 bit Paint Shop Pro 9.02, Corel's freebie bug-free version of JASC's
PSP 9.0
