1.3.17 make problem on slackware-9 (current)
Building gimp on slackware-current, I get the following failure:
gimptext-vectors.c: In function `gimp_text_render_vectors':
gimptext-vectors.c:265: `FT_GLYPH_FORMAT_OUTLINE' undeclared (first

gimptext-vectors.c:265: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only

gimp-1.3.16 built OK, though.
Has anybody seen this problem?
What did you do to solve it?

Note: I'm guessing this is a freetype version issue. I have downloaded
freetype 2.1.4, but I'm concerned I might hose my X fonts if I install it.
XFree86-4.3.0 in slackware has freetype-2 built in.
If this is the problem, then I will have to upgrade freetype and possibly
rebuild X, but I don't want to do this unless it's indicated.
Again, thanks for any help, and thanks to the developers--gimp kicks butt!
I think XFree86-4.3.0 comes with freetype 2.1.3, but I'm not sure.
