Image Resolution

Is there way to change the default image resolution in the Gimp for Windows so that I do not get the following message

You are getting this message because the image file you are opening has an invalid image resolution. Changing the default resolution is not going to change that. You better fix the image instead.

Hmm, probably by setting correct values for resolution? May be to doing a man convert with image magick would point into a direction possibly to go.
