Building 2.10 RC2 failed

On Debian.

I am trying to build RC2 and as far as I can determine I have all the correct versions of the prerequisites installed. But building it fails with

/usr/bin/gegl: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgegl-0.3.so.0: undefined symbol: babl_process_rows

and

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgegl-0.3.so.0 is a symlink to libgegl-0.3.so.0.334.0

both the symlink and the real file was installed by the package ii libgegl-0.3-0:amd64 0.3.34-1

The installed babl package:

ii libbabl-0.1-0:amd64 0.1.46-1

Any idea how to solve this?

Regards Johann
