GIMP 2.10 RC1 , cannot merge down layer after Warp transform

Hi,

Maybe this is a bug, where the warped layer discards the changed done when merging down

1. Open an Image 2. Select a rectangle region and then copy and paste as a new layer 3. Click on Tools> Transform Tools> Warp Transform 4. Do some shrinking or moving.
5. ON the Layers dock, Right click the warped layer and merge down.

The layers will be merged, but whatever was changed in the warped layer will just be discarded and the original layer below will be saved. Whatever warping done is gone.

Thanks.

Many of the on-canvas GEGL operations need an 'ENTER' to complete. Warp is one.

The sequence should be

4. Do some shrinking or moving.

4a. Hit the enter key to complete the warp operation.

5. ON the Layers dock, Right click the warped layer and merge down.

Ok. Enter Key works. Thanks.

re-learn some stuff, coming from ver 8.22. It does seem like a step backwards though having to press the enter key.
