Healing feature

If you mean the Heal brush, it is there in your version. Right next to the clone brush.

Healing feature

Used to have the healing option under filter/enchance/heal.. where by I can fill the white space in a photo (after cropped to a square size, like attached) with the color similar to the top or bottom rows.

Not sure if the heal tool will be able to do it.. tried, but not sure how to use this tool.. Please help.

This is part of the resynthesize plugin. If you are on Windows, the simplest way to get it it to reinstall Gimp using the builds from partha.com since these also include the more popular plug-ins.

....snip....

Partha's version comes with many additions that you might not want, also only available in 64 bit versions.

For just either 32 or 64 bit resynthesizer + the heal-selection plugin see

A good practice for maintainers of third-party builds is to have multiple global plug-ins directories (likewise for other resources).

At least two, one for the standard plug-ins that come with GIMP and one for any extra ones. Probably more, if sorting them into different categories seems feasible.
