Working with a image, in RGB channels, and want to get rid of the noise in the Red chanel, what is the best method of doing this?

Channels dock, deselect the blue & green channels, and blur/denoise/other (I hope this works...) If it doesn't work, decompose, blur, recompose will work fine, but is a bit painful.
