cut individually

Hi ,

I have an image consisting of a writing in print letter.

I want to take every letter individually and keept it in an independent file. Is there any way to do this in an automated way without cut every letter manually ?

It is not that automatic, but much better than manual:If you have a single line of text, put image guides so that each letter is encased in a rectangle delimited by guides, and them use filters->web->slice.
