Tool Option Dialog detached from main dialog

Tool Option Dialog detached from main dialog

Hello everybody

Question about dialog box with Gimp 2.0.2 windows XP :

I detached inadvertently the Tool Option dialog from main box.

I would like to re-integrate the Tool Option dialog but I didn't succeeded.

How can I do this ?

There is a narrow strip at the bottom of the toolbox, and every other dock window, which highlights when you try to drag something to it. If you drag your tool options dock and drop it there, it will attach itself to the bottom of the window.

Actually chapter 2.3.4.

We really need to come up with a better way of linking to things in the Help docs :-).

There is a cgi script that maps the help ids to the actual files. As an alternative, it would be rather easy to create a rewrite map during the build of the help files - this has also a better chance to survive slashdotting.

The TOCs on docs.gimp.org should use at least the cgi script links, so that they get known and copyable.

Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\help\en\gimp-help.xml"

Now you gave me help online urls, very usefull with this complex software !

Well, we have come up with a better way. The idea is that it should be possible to link to the relevent help pages using the help-id. A while ago I've spent an afternoon writing a utility that allows to implement a CGI script that does just this. Unfortunately this solution hasn't yet been established on http://docs.gimp.org/ or if the script has been installed, I don't know where and how to use it. There should be a simple form at http://docs.gimp.org/ that allows to enter a help-id.

I am Cc'ing gimp-docs list on this subject in the hope that such a form can be installed.
