Very intersting, and I didn't find any Gimp-doc about it. If I'd know where to get more informations about these I could do an help file for it. Do you have any good URL Sven ?

I don't think there's any documentation about this except it being mentioned on mailing-lists, in ChangeLog entries and bug reports. The GTK+ team does a very good job at documenting their APIs but user documentation could be a lot better.
