installer issues

Hello,

I have downloaded the installer for the latest version of GIMP but every time I click run nothing happens. The window that asked me if I want to run the program goes away and that's it. I'm sure an installer is supposed to pop up but nothing happens. I would really like to install gimp and your help would be much appriciated
